Cape Lookout State Park

We took a quick trip over to Cape Lookout State Park, forgot to grab the camera out of the car...go figure... But remembered we had it when leaving, and snapped a few grainy long distance pictures of the Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge, and low tide in Netarts Bay.

Oregon Zoo - Caracal Kittens

We took a trip to the zoo to see the three new Caracal kittens, while we were there primarily to see them, we also wandered around a bit too.

Mt Hood Loop

We drove around Mt Hood and stopped at a few places in the Hood River Fruit Loop to get some fruit. and some awesome cookies at Packer Orchards and Bakery. I highly suggest stopping there and snagging a few. We then stopped by Sahalie Falls, which is easy to get to, beautiful, and we hadn't been there before. Then we drove down part of the old Barlow road, and stopped at the pioneer woman's grave before starting the drive home.

Fort Stevens State Park

Today we zoomed over to the coast and hit Fort Stevens State Park as it had been a while since we have been there. It'a a beautiful day, and we enjoyed walking around the beach at the mouth of the Columbia river, and wandering through the commonly seen areas of the fort.

Took an overnight trip to the coast, and enjoyed the weekend.

Snow day at the zoo

The zoo had a snow day where they gave treats to the lions in clumps of snow. it was pretty cool...*snicker*

Winter Coast Trip

We took a quick trip over the mountains to the coast. It was snowing a bit at higher elevations when we went over, but nothing we couldn't handle. We hit Fort Stevens and did a quick walk around Seaside.

31 degrees and we go to the zoo

We decided to spend the first day of the new year at....wait for it...The ZOO! :D
